James McAvoy and Sir Chis Hoy wearing kilts at the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games opening Ceremony on Wed., July 23. They completed the various pleas for donations to Unicef and to #PutChildrenFirst.

Sorry for the smokey conditions, the result of previous fireworks.

I feel sorry for non-Commonwealth countries right now.  Because there was just a giant kilt and they lifted it and John Barrowman came out from underneath it and sang about Scotland and there were dancing Tunnocks teacakes and an inflatable Nessie, and it was just beautiful and ridiculous.
